Wedding season has been a great time for us here at Hog Roast Blaby. As it comes around every summer we prepare ourselves to be working at the top of our game just about every weekend. While it can sound like a lot of work, as a caterer it is always a privilege to be chosen for a wedding. These are some of the most important days in many people’s lives, so to play any small role in that, never mind playing such a vital one as making the main meal and the first of a new marriage, is no end of a source of pride.
Weddings are also such massive occasions that allow our Hog Roast Blaby teams to really go all out and test themselves. We’re here for the glitz and the glam, the highly stylish dining, the hundreds of guests, the immense quantities of foods that we have to make, each with pristine presentation. It tests us as a caterer and shows us where we are at in terms of quality.
Of course, wedding season also has the other added benefit of it being the summer season, meaning we have the sun to play with and attune our dining to. Weddings will throw you to some incredible locations, often with beautiful and sizeable grounds to host on. For many a bride and groom it is a wish to have their ceremony and/or dining outside on their venues grounds, and as the caterer we are always happy to acquiesce. This can mean we provide a canape service outside while the wedding party are doing their photos and guests are all getting acquainted, or it can fully mean that we operate the entire dining service outside. In such cases, our hog roast can be used to its fullest effect as we not only present and serve it outside, but we can also cook it there for all to see and enjoy. We’re well equipped to make changes on the go, so if the weather looks to be bright then we’re more than happy to set up shop out there. Similarly, when it disappoints we can either set up our marquee tent, or quickly move everything indoors without fuss.
Summer weather in Britain means many things, but Hog Roast Blaby is prepared for all come your wedding this season!
