Our catering manager Jon provides a variety of wedding catering packages across Leicestershire, but our alfresco menu is the star! This autumn, Jon was contacted by a couple to cater for their wedding reception, which was taking place in a local function room which features a beautiful rustic décor. Our alfresco menu is the perfect addition to a wedding of this theme, since it is a wonderful compliment to the décor and atmosphere. The menu needed to be suitable for 90 guests and include a tasty vegetarian option for the main course.
On the day of the wedding, the Hog Roast Leire team arrived early to prepare for the alfresco lynch. The menu began with wonderful sharing platters, consisting of cooked sliced meats, gourmet cheese, fresh bread, and a variety of sauces and sides. This is a wonderful way to introduce this menu since it provides so many different dishes to be enjoyed. The platters are served at the table and enjoyed by the guests together, creating a great atmosphere.
For the main course, we served a Hog Roast Leire classic. Our slow-roasted hog went down a treat and was a wonderful meal for the guests to enjoy. We also provided BBQ pulled jackfruit for a vegetarian alternative. The main dishes were served with a variety of tasty side dishes and salad options.
To finish the menu, the guests could enjoy sticky toffee pudding or fresh fruit salad, served with delicious English cream.
