Hog Roast Oadby Pulls Off A Hawaiian Luau Birthday Bash

Winter might be just around the corner but that isn’t stopping some of our clients from clinging on to the tropical summer vibes which seem so far out of reach at this time of year and last weekend Hog Roast Oadby were invited to help Aini pull off the Hawaiian luau birthday party of her dreams at Leicester’s Fox Pond Pub. With 60 guests set to attend the intimate event, catering manager Steve helped the client decide on our private party menu 3 which offers a selection of succulent meats and colourful veggies served as an informal meal – which as we all know, is the perfect combination for any luau party!

Hog Roast Oadby Planning for the early evening celebrations, Hog Roast Oadby arrived at the venue in the early afternoon where they were welcomed to set up the catering gazebo and cooking equipment in the pub’s back courtyard. As always the first course of action for the team was to prepare the star attraction: the pig, which they evenly scored before placing it in our trusty Hog Master and surrounding it with delicious savoury stuffing and leaving it to sizzle its way to golden perfection. With the pig doing its thing, the catering crew whipped up the meat-free alternative of grilled vegetable skewers with optionable haloumi as well as the inclusive side dishes of crunchy coleslaw and freshly tossed salads.

To make the clients birthday party even more spectacular, Steve and the crew had used traditional Hawaiian grass skirts and floral leis to decorate the buffet table which left Aini and her guests completely speechless. But while they loved the themed decorations, the real star of the show was, of course, the food; namely the whole roasted pig which the guest couldn’t resist having extra helpings of!

We always love getting feedback from our clients after their events have passed and Aini has since been in touch to thank Hog Roast Oadby once again for delivering the fabulous hog roast feast that she had envisioned for her special day. The sweet corn and coleslaw were a particular hit among the party celebrants but as always it was the hog roast that stole the show!
