The family gather from several different households to catch up and enjoy some great food together. This July, Pete hired Hog Roast Wanlip to cater for the dinner with our classic hog roast menu. Hiring our team meant that every member of the family could relax and enjoy the time together without anyone having to cook or clean. On the day of the event, the Hog Roast Wanlip team arrived at Pete’s home in the afternoon and prepared for the 7:00pm serving time. We began our prep by slow-roasting the hog and allowing it to cook to perfection for around five hours. Once ready, the succulent pork was expertly carved and served alongside sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. Alternatively, the guests could enjoy BBQ-pulled jackfruit, which is a delicious and filling meat-free option.
For the side dishes, we also provided roasted potatoes, roasted seasonal vegetables, and rich homemade gravy. Overall, our catering created a delicious meal, with more than enough to go around and plenty for seconds!
