School fundraising can come in many different forms, including bake sales, fairs, sports events, and dances. Any style of event can be improved by providing delicious catering on the day, including fundraising events. A Leicestershire based secondary school recently hosted a fundraiser for an upcoming renovation to their gym and sports equipment. To raise money, the school hosted a variety of events, including a sponsored sports day, a bake sale, and a charity meal. For the meal, our catering manager Jon was hired to provide a delicious Hog Roast Ashby-de-la-Zouch menu for the day from one of our tasty catering options. The meal was being hosted in the hall, which had been decorated with tablecloths, seat coverings, candles, and flowers. For the entertainment, pupils from the school band and orchestra were in attendance to play music during the event. Jon was more than happy to get involved with this event and provide a delicious menu for a great cause!
On the day of the event, the Hog Roast Ashby-de-la-Zouch team arrived at the school in the morning to prepare for the 13:00 mealtime. We began by serving a delicious starter, consisting of a soup of the day and fresh bread rolls. This went down a treat with the guests and is a firm favourite at formal dinners.
Following the starter, it was time for a delicious Hog Roast Ashby-de-la-Zouch main course, including a slow-roasted hog, sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, roasted potatoes, and seasonal vegetables.
To finish the menu, the guests enjoyed mini cheesecakes and profiteroles, with each dish accompanied by English cream and fresh berries. This was a wonderful way to end the menu and provide the guests with a sweet treat!
