Christmas is a time to gather as a community and spend time with those around you, and there is no better way to unite people than by offering great food! Hog Roast Hoton’s festive menu is ideal for an array of different events, with a formality to suit everyone! Here is just one o the ways that we can provide community catering this Christmas!
A Leicestershire based community centre contacted our catering manager Lee to enquire about our festive catering options. The centre was looking for a menu that would be perfect for a family-friendly community event, where locals could gather and enjoy a delicious meal together. For the catering, a casual buffet-style menu was needed, with enough food to serve 160 guests of all ages. Our festive menu is a family favourite and includes dishes for every guest to enjoy, including guests of all ages. This event is taking place in mid-December, with the following menu.
The star of our festive menu is the whole-roasted turkey, which is cooked to perfection and packed full of natural juices. Once carved, the meat is succulent and tasty, which is why our guests just can’t get enough of it! Alongside the main dish is the trimmings, which includes pigs in blankets, cauliflower cheese, seasonal vegetables, roast potatoes, and homemade gravy. This creates a deliciously festive main course, with plenty to go around!
Following the main course, the guests can enjoy a traditional mince pie, served with fresh brandy cream. This is accompanied by hot mulled wine or an alcohol free version.
We are really looking forward to providing this menu as it will be such a great experience to see the local community gathering together and spreading Christmas cheer.
