As a company with family values, we know that food is more than just fuel for the body – it’s fuel for the soul! Last weekend, we were hired to do a classic hog roast from our private party menu option 3 in Hog Roast Tamworth by a lovely lady for her husband’s 60th birthday. She told us that he had worked and lived in America for around fifteen years and they always had hog roasts on special occasions. It’s one of the things he misses most about living there and he has never found anything over here that compares… The pressure was on!
Her husband had had a bad year and she really wanted to throw him a great party and show him how loved he is. Everything was a surprise so he didn’t know that we were coming, and we were determined to impress!
We got to work right away making sure we would have garden-fresh, mouth wateringly scrumptious, ethically and locally sourced ingredients for the event in Hog Roast Tamworth. As the party was a surprise, we arrived to an empty venue with a packed schedule! The pig needed 6 hours to roast – which sounds like a long time, but with 90 guests arriving later that day, we had a lot to get done! Whilst the hog was roasting we got to work laying seven huge tables and then prepared the potatoes, sauces and salads.
Our team of servers began filling glasses as guests turned up – and then the big moment came where the guest of honour arrived!
As the end of lunch time approached, we began preparing to discreetly clear rubbish from the tables for our host. We were delighted to walk into a room of clear plates and happy customers! Our team was very pleased to hear that we helped make the event a success and that we indeed lived up to – and exceeded – hog roasts past!! We thank them so much for their kind words, and are honoured to say that we look forward to catering their anniversary party in Hog Roast Tamworth next year!
