If you need a special diet catered, like vegetarian, vegan or gluten-free, our chefs can make a suitable, yummy dish, and if you need something altogether different to a hog or spit roast, we can barbecue meat or cook marinated meat dishes instead.

Hog Roast ShepshedOne of the things we’re often asked to do, particularly for large events like weddings or corporate hospitality, is to help devise a menu consisting of multiple courses, and we can easily make starters, mains and desserts to suit all tastes, and we can even provide waiter service of drinks and handmade canapés if required.

For a wedding that we catered over the weekend, our Hog Roast Shepshed chef and assistants were asked by the couple’s wedding planner, Yvonne, to help create a menu that would include welcome drinks and canapés, three courses and a vegetarian option. We worked together with Yvonne to perfect the menu well in advance of the big day, and it included plenty of fresh, high-quality homemade creations that the couple and their guests would all love.

As the guests arrived at the wedding feast, our waiters served bubbly and orange juice and a selection of six canapés, including gourmet sausages, mini pizzas and quiches, dim sum, fillet of beef and tiger prawns, with three of them suitable for the vegetarian guests. Everyone was able to enjoy our fresh, homemade tomato soup and crusty bread rolls, served to the tables, and this was followed by a Hog Roast Shepshed hog roast meal, served buffet-style. We cooked a local pig for hours on end and served the meat and crackling together with apple sauce, stuffing, seasonal vegetables and new potatoes, all smothered in our own gravy, and grilled veggie skewers for the vegetarian guests. Finally, it was time for dessert and we served the couple’s own wedding cake with fresh berries and cream.
