Recently, the Hog Roast Wigston team were hired by a special client, Philip, who is the ex-CEO of Tesco. He was hosting a joint birthday party for his wife’s 60th birthday and his daughter’s 30th birthday. He was hosting the big event at his home as a garden party and hired the Hog Roast Wigston team to handle the all important catering for his guests.
Phil selected the Hog Roast Wigston team’s menu three which featured a classic hog roast spread. The team slow cooked a whole, locally sourced pig in one of their Hog Master machines. The team arrived several hours before the service time in order to roast the pig slowly which helped to form some tasty crackling around the pig. The meat was served with some delicious apple sauce and homemade traditional style stuffing. Phil also requested for the Hog Roast Wigston team to serve new potatoes and a side of chips on the buffet table to help create a casual atmosphere at the party. To compliment the meat, the team also served a selection of summer style salads which gave the buffet layout a really colourful appearance. The team also served sausages as an alternative to the hog meat which the guests really enjoyed. A side of bread rolls and wraps were served to also encourage the casual party atmosphere.
A vegetarian option of lightly grilled vegetable and halloumi kebabs was served with pitta breads and a Tzataki dip were also served as an alternative to the hog meat. The Hog Roast Wigston team’s chefs, Lee and Chris, did a fantastic job of the buffet and all of the guests really enjoyed the food. The food was served from 1pm onwards and was delivered as a lunch time service. The buffet table looked really professional and the team did a great job of laying out all of the food. The setting of the buffet was stunning and helped to make the big day special. The team were really proud of the smooth service they delivered and the client was really happy with the great food they delivered.
