Recently, the Hog Roast Loughborough team were hired by a corporate client, Loughborough Student University School of Science. They were hosting their event at their base on Epinal Way in Loughborough and the event was organised by Ana-Maria who did a great job of planning the day. She selected the Southern Slow Roast menu which was served in a classic buffet style service.
The Hog Roast Loughborough team served a selection of different meats including BBQ pork butt, Cajun spiced whole roast chickens and Creole pulled quarter of spiced lamb. the meats were cooked in one of the team’s Hog Master machines to ensure that all of the meat was cooked evenly and to perfection. These Southern American style dishes were served with a selection of classic sides from the area including Memphis style crunchy coleslaw, Greek salad, maceroni and cheese and Cajun spiced sweet potato wedges. As an alternative to the meats, the Hog Roast Loughborough team also served lightly grilled vegetable skewers, some without halloumi to ensure that the vegan guests were catered for by the team. After the buffet, the team also served two deserts including handmade individual dark chocolate tortes and handmade individual creamy cheesecakes. At the request of the organiser, a number of the puddings were made using vegan ingredients to ensure that the buffet was accessible for all the of guests.
The Hog Roast Loughborough team was led by their Catering Manager, Lee, who oversaw the service. The team also consisted of Bez and Russ who worked hard to ensure that all of the food was delivered to the buffet table for the 7:30pm service time. The buffet was served indoors and all of the food was cooked on site to ensure that the buffet tasted fantastically fresh. The food was also served in heated trays to cooked it warm and fresh throughout the service. 175 guests were attending the event so it was vital that the team served the food quickly and efficiently, while offering a great friendly service. All of the guests appeared to really enjoy the food and Ana-Maria was overjoyed.
