If you’ve been dreaming of a traditional centrepiece hog roast to be featured at your next party or event, you certainly can’t go wrong with Hog Roast Shirebrook. Over many years, we’ve perfected our hog roast recipe and it makes all the difference by us using our very own equipment, (as we hand-build our own hog roasters in our Lancashire factory). Whether we’re making our famous pigs in buns or a plated meal, where you can enjoy hot, tender meat and salty, crispy crackling, together with all the trimmings you love (including our homemade onion gravy, apple sauce and sage and onion stuffing), as well as garden-fresh seasonal vegetables and potatoes.
If that hasn’t whet your appetite, it may be that you’ve been thinking of a different kind of main course to be served on your special occasion, and despite being famed for our hog roasts, we do offer so much choice and variety too that you may be more than surprised. If you fancy a different meat, like spit-roast turkey, lamb, chicken or beef, or a barbecue of burgers, sausages and ribs, Hog Roast Shirebrook will wow everyone all the same. It may be that one of our speciality menus is just the ticket instead, like our Southern Slow Roast or our Loaded Fries, or perhaps you need alternatives for special diets, like vegan, vegetarian or gluten-free, and our hard-working chefs will create tasty, suitable dishes, fresh on the day.
We’re also well-known for our additional options, and whether you want to add a simple side to your main or have us create a menu consisting of multiple courses of canapés, starters, sides and desserts, we can easily do either. Your wish is our command and for a party that Hog Roast Shirebrook catered on Sunday afternoon, that wish was for us to make mains and sides to satisfy both carnivores and vegetarians.
While a hog sizzled away for hours so that we could make pigs in buns for most of the guests, our team whipped up a homemade storm with veggie skewers, sweet potato wedges, mac and cheese and coleslaw, so once everyone arrived, there was a great feast waiting for them to devour.
