When it comes to weddings and outdoor festivities, hog roasts have always been a hugely popular choice. There’s just something about a juicy, crackling covered pig that elevates these types of events, and drives people wild! Perhaps it’s the divine smell of freshly cooked pork or the impressive appearance of a spit roasting pig.
Who can really say for sure? But having been in the business for nearly three decades, at Hog Roast Bolsover we like to think it’s a combination of everything. From start to finish, the hog roast experience is a pretty magical one – especially when we’re in charge!
We’ve also found that for most people, hog roasts tend to be a once in a blue moon treat, so when the opportunity presents itself, people like to savour every last detail. And who could blame them? Especially now that the chance to enjoy a traditional, slow roasted hog in an alfresco setting has gotten considerably slimmer with fewer events going ahead.
It’s true, the current climate is making it extremely difficult for people to mark those all-important occasions accordingly, but our reasons for celebrating still remain. Birthdays, anniversaries, weddings – you name it! And at Hog Roast Bolsover we have worked out a way for you to still enjoy a fabulous feast – even if you can’t mix households just yet!
Our Gourmet Delivery service has made a huge change in how we operate here, and it would suffice to say that our customers and clients have been loving it so far! Since introducing the new option several weeks ago, we have pleased many people with drop off’s, ending most recently with a birthday delivery for a client’s 50th.
With a lively party out of the question this year, Angela wanted to mark her husband’s special day in a way he wouldn’t forget. And since our hog roasts are renowned for leaving a lasting impression, she decided to try out our delivery option for herself! Hog Roast Bolsover dropped off the classic hog roast order last week, much to the delight of the birthday boy and the rest of the household who had been looking forward to the mouth-watering feast all day.
