It’s the most wonderful time of the year…for a wedding! 2019’s wedding season might have already come to an official end, but that isn’t stopping some of our clients from living out their winter wonderland fantasies by getting hitched so close to the biggest party season of the year, and to kick off the busy Christmas period Hog Roast Syston was called in to help one happy couple celebrate their nuptials with our extremely coveted festive menu.

Hog Roast Syston With plans to host their reception at the Ashby Ivanhoe Football Club grounds which are surrounded by beautiful woodland scenery, Geoffrey and his bride-to-be had their hearts set on serving a lip-smacking hog roast buffet to their 80 guests, and with only a few months left to spare before their big day, the groom got in touch with our customer service team to make the arrangements. Like many of our clients, Geoffrey was immediately impressed by how easy it was to place a booking with our experienced team and after finalising the details, he ended the call feeling like a huge weight had been lifted from his shoulders.

The couple’s endless months of planning finally came to a culmination last weekend when they exchanged vows surrounded by their closest friends and family members – meanwhile, Hog Roast Syston was hard are work ensuring that everything was perfect for their arrival. Using a selection of well sourced produce from award-winning farms in the local area, the catering crew had cooked up an equally stunning and aromatic feast of all our winter favourites including pigs in blankets, fluffy roast potatoes, traditional mince pies with a brandy sauce, cauliflower cheese, a seasonal vegetable medley and of course the main attraction: a whole, slow roasted pig with all the trimmings! On top of the meaty feast, the team had also prepared a selection of grilled vegetable skewers with optionable haloumi for members of the wedding party who might be following plant-based diets.

When the newlyweds arrived, they were immediately impressed with the buffet Hog Roast Syston had spent the afternoon creating and as the temperature dropped throughout the evening, the guests were even more grateful for the delicious hog roast that warmed them from within.
