When the team at Hog Roast Burntwood were contacted by a local community centre about catering for a ‘singles night’ on Valentine’s Day the team were only too happy to say yes. The point of the singles night at the community centre was to bring together lots of single people, in the hopes that being with friends would make them happier on Valentine’s Day.
The guest list was fluctuating between 50 and 55 so the team decided to cater for 60, just in case more individuals decided to attend- as the event was open to all members of the community centre clubs. As part of the bespoke catering package that Hog Roast Burntwood put together for the clients, the event would get the full use of disposable crockery and cutlery, as well as napkins, for the guests to use. Then, at the end of the event the team would discreetly remove all rubbish from site to be responsibly and safely disposed of.
The menu the team put together for the event was fun and full of tasty treats! The guests could choose from Fall off the Bone Louisiana Sticky Pork Ribs, BBQ Pork Butt or Cajun Spiced Whole Roast Chickens for a meaty meal. However, there were also vegetarian and vegan options of: perfectly grilled vegetable wraps, alongside a variety of tangy dips and soft pitta breads. There were also lots of other delicious dishes, including: a mix of sweet potato and normal potato fries, Memphis style Crunchy Coleslaw, Mac and Cheese and a hearty leafy green salad.
The team from Hog Roast Burntwood arrived at the community centre six hours before the 8pm serving time and were thrilled that they would be preparing the food indoors. The weather was awful, it was raining and windy but that didn’t put off any of the guests or the team.
When the guests arrived, a little wet from the blustery weather but looking lovely in their party outfits, they were delighted with the food the team served. The event was fun, bringing together lots of people that might otherwise have been alone.
