Despite the gloomy weather that prematurely stole our summer away, some of our more hopeful clients are still eager to make the most of the great outdoors surrounded by close friends and family members – and let’s not forget, some delicious grub! Unfortunately, for many people, the reality of planning a huge scale event can be incredibly stressful when they soon realise they not only have to cater for different dietary requirements but they also have to make sure everyone is on board with the menu. Fortunately for our most recent client, he discovered the team at Hog Roast Kegworth who were happy to take charge of catering for the 120 people at his upcoming event.
Striving to make every guest feel included at the events we cater for, Hog Roast Kegworth offers a wide range of expansive menu options and bespoke catering packages which feature gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian-friendly alternatives to our classic meat dishes which our client was really pleased to hear. After taking some time to look over our menu for himself, he called back the following day to place a booking for our signature southern slow roast menu which was heavily inspired by classic American-style dishes.
When the big day finally arrived, Hog Roast Kegworth made their way to the open field that the client had chosen for the gettogether and while everywhere else in Leicestershire seemed to be stuck under black clouds of torrential rain, the party site saw nothing but blue skies and sunshine. Not taking any chances, the catering crew pitched the gazebo and under the instruction of chef Mitch, began preparing the feast of Texan 24 hour beef brisket, fall off the bone Louisiana sticky pork ribs and creole pulled quarter of spiced lamb as well as tantalising side options of buttery corn cobettes, Greek salad, creamy mac & cheese and whole baked potatoes. With time left to spare before the guests arrived, the team whipped up the meat-free alternative of grilled vegetable skewers with optionable haloumi which paired nicely with the gluten-free rolls on offer.
The client was so impressed with the spread that Hog Roast Kegworth had created and the mouth-watering scents from the buffet table immediately caught the attention of the guests as they arrived and they wasted no time in filling their plates with a little bit of everything from the menu.
