Many people don’t realise that Hog Roast Lichfield really is suited to any and all occasions. Not only can we cater for any number of people at any style of event, whether formal or informal, but we can also cater for any meal throughout the day. Recently we catered for Howdens in Lichfield, who wanted us to supply some corporate catering for breakfast and lunch!
Howdens Joinery is the UK’s largest manufacturer and supplier of kitchens and appliances and so when we were contacted by them to provide catering at their company we were pleased to accept. Chefs for this event were Lee and Bez who were sure to pull out all the stops to ensure the food for each serve time was prepared perfectly and that our clients had all they required.
First up was breakfast. We had been asked to prepare food for forty people between eight-thirty and nine in the morning. Usually a Hog Roast Lichfield breakfast includes classic bacon and sausage sandwiches which is what we were supplying today. It was great to see all the hungry guests enjoying their Hog Roast Lichfield breakfast and to see the look on their faces when they realised we would be serving lunch too!
For the lunchtime serve, we had a time slot of between midday and three ‘o’clock giving us plenty of time to serve the estimated eighty guests. This time we would be serving up our classic Hog Roast Lichfield roast with all the trimmings including our signature crispy crackling, tangy applesauce and moreish homemade stuffing. The vegetarian option was our chefs speciality roasted vegetable skewers.
Once everyone had been served, we began to discreetly tidy away much to the dismay of our guests who commented that they wish we would be staying to cook their dinner too! There’s always next time!
