As the world slowly starts to get back to normal after the lockdown caused by COVID-19, Hog Roast Thringstone’s books are slowly beginning to get busy once again. Their latest event was for a midweek wedding at Colliery Lane Lodges.
The clients wanted a nice, tasty and filling menu for their 100 guests at their wedding reception. Fortunately there was plenty of space for the catering gazebo and equipment, which were set up outside on a perfectly green, manicured lawn area at the picture perfect venue.
To prepare and serve this buffet for this perfectly magical midweek wedding Catering Manager Lee from Hog Roast Thringstone was joined by his son Callum- on a side note, we’re glad to see Lee and Callum are keeping the Hog Roast loving in the family! It really added a nice loving element to the catering of this special event.
Lee and Callum worked hard together to put together a Classic Hog Roast menu for the happy couple and their guests, so that as 7pm rolled around the buffet was ready. There was a Classic Hog Roast with crispy crackling, stuffing, apple sauce and an assortment of soft gluten free rolls on offer. Alongside this there were also very tasty grilled vegetable and halloumi skewers, as well as plain vegetable skewers as an exciting vegan dish to enjoy.
Manager Lee and young Callum were kept busy, making sure there was plenty of food prepared for the guests as they wanted it. Once the food had been enjoyed Callum and Lee discreetly tidied away, gathering up all the disposable crockery and cutlery Hog Roast Thringstone had provided as part of the catering package.
As soon as the equipment and rubbish had been tidied away Lee and Callum left the party. The clients and guests could continue their celebration without worrying about tidying up. It was a great success and the weather held fair and bright, it was a perfect night to celebrate such a wonderful, loving event.
