All the talk in the last week has been about Taylor Swift and the Super Bowl, but at Hog Roast Botcheston we prefer to focus on the snacks portion of the great American final. Snacks are to the Super Bowl as strawberries and cream are to Wimbledon; when it comes to enjoying the Super Bowl, the strength of your spread is paramount. Of course a team like Hog Roast Botcheston is going to be in for that then!
While of course it is an American sport, it is hard not to get caught up in some of the hype and spectacle of the Super Bowl. We know that here in the UK we have plenty of customers who are big fans of American football and love to go all out for its biggest evening. As a caterer, we like to do what we can to help those that want to enjoy the big game with a champion’s selection of snacks. Of course, the game itself is on far too late for our team to be out catering for our customers, but what we have managed to do instead is set up our customers with a good catered delivery beforehand. We know that the game day is all about having enough wings, ribs, and snacks to last the full 4+ hours, so our Hog Roast Botcheston chefs got to firing up the roasters earlier in the day to then deliver a fresh batch of roast and grilled goods to customers wanting to watch the game later that night.
Delivery is not something we typically do at Hog Roast Botcheston, but during Covid it became one of the ways that we were able to keep operating. We’ve kept some of that knowledge handy for occasions like this, meaning those that put in their special order could get a fresh delivery of hot ribs and more from our southern slow roast menu – the perfect dining spread for the all-American Super Bowl. All the customers would have to do is keep our delivery in its protected packaging to keep it warm, or just heat it up quickly come game time!
