This January, Mason celebrated his 40th birthday and he wanted to throw a party which both his friends and family could attend. He chose a local pub as his venue and, as they did not serve food, decided to hire the Hog Roast Ashby de la Zouch team to craft a fantastic food spread for him. He had invited around fifty people which was the perfect size for a classic hog roast meal. All of the dishes were cooked fresh on site and served to the guests at their tables by the team’s waiters.
The Hog Roast Ashby de la Zouch team arrived on time to the birthday and set up the hog roasting equipment quickly and efficiently. Mason had selected the team’s private party menu five which offered a more luxurious twist on the traditional buffet. The menu offered a variety of canapes from which Mason chose the mini vegetarian pizzas, the Indian selection, the spicy Thai chicken kebabs, smoked salmon on fresh brown bread and also the chicken satay which was served with a peanut dip. The main course consisted of a classic slow roasted hog served with apple sauce, crackling and homemade stuffing and also BBQ beef burgers as a slightly more casual alternative. These main meats were served with bread rolls and sauces and also alongside a vegetarian option. Mason also selected a tomato and basil salad, a cous cous and crispy Thai salad to accompany the main course.
Finally, the Hog Roast Ashby de la Zouch team also served handmade individual chocolate tortes and lemon tarts, served with raspberries and fresh fruit coulis, for pudding. The service ran very smoothly and the head chief was incredibly pleased the effort put in by his team, and so were the hosts. Mason had a great birthday and he really enjoyed the party as well as the food. The guests had a great time and fantastic atmosphere was maintained throughout the night. In addition, they can keep the food fresh and warm so they quality of the meat is maintained throughout the buffet.
