Here at Hog Roast Ashby de la Zouch, we are highly experienced in catering for all manner of wedding receptions, both large and small, and our latest foray into wedding catering was on the larger side when we were asked by Rob and Michelle to provide an elegant 3 course meal for 200 guests! With a large extended family and lots of friends and workmates, the guest list was never going to be small, and with so many mouths to feed and so many different tastes to cater for, they were worried that they may not be able to find caterers up to the task and would have to settle for quantity over quality. This concern was swiftly quashed, however, when they came across our website and gave us a call and found out that regardless of how many people we are catering for, we always make everything from scratch on-site without cutting corners on our preparation methods or the quality of our ingredients. Rob and Michelle were very happy to learn that Hog Roast Ashby de la Zouch only ever use the best locally sourced ingredients and ethically reared meat and that every dish on their menu would be freshly made on the day including their vegetarian options and all of their side dishes!
They were even more pleasantly surprised to discover that we don’t just offer our premium pork as the meat option, but a whole host of other slow roasted meats too! Instead of one of our classic hog roasts, they opted for some of our succulent sirloin of beef, served pink with a red wine jus and horseradish sauce, accompanied by rosemary infused new potatoes and seasonal vegetables!
On the day of the wedding, the happy couple told us that we definitely lived up to their expectations by proving that we can do mass catering without compromising on quality. With each plate of food as tasty and well presented as the last, all of the guests loved the food and the bride and groom were very glad that they chose the Hog Roast Ashby de la Zouch team to do the catering for their big day!
