Sailing Club’s Annual Dinner Courtesy Of Hog Roast Stockingford!

The local sailing club who contacted us recently are certainly a sociable bunch, with events and gatherings going on throughout the year. Every winter they have one of the main events on their social calendar- their annual black tie dinner for all their members to get their glad rags on, tuck into some great food and share sailing stories. They usually take it in turns to contribute to the food for the event, but last year apparently was a near disaster when the member in charge of the main was taken ill and couldn’t deliver it! To avoid any issues this year, they decided to play it safe, hire the professionals, and leave all the preparations in Hog Roast Stockingford’s capable hands!

Hog Roast StockingfordThey chose us because not only could be give them an elegant menu befitting to the occasion, but we could also prepare it all from scratch at the club and even provide our own waiting staff for full table service throughout the evening, to ensure everyone could relax and enjoy themselves without running off to the kitchen every 5 minutes! With Hog Roast Stockingford at the helm for the evening, the club’s Steward confessed he was feeling a lot more relaxed than this time last year and he was looking forward to putting his feet up for the night and letting us do all the hard work!

By the time the members arrived in their glamourous gear, the chaos of last year’s event seemed like a distant memory as we greeted them with a tray of our elegant canapes, including mini Thai skewers, Peking duck wraps and mushroom bouchees!

The evening continued to run seamlessly as we served our blushing sirloin of beef, rather than a traditional hog roast, along with our tangy horseradish sauce, rich red wine gravy and crispy roast potatoes!

The atmosphere was upbeat and relaxed with the touch of finesse the evening warranted and thanks to Hog Roast Stockingford, no one was left red-faced or running around like a headless chicken all night! The sailing club members loved our food so much that they have now started a petition to ditch their DIY approach and get us to come back again next year!
